OK, so this is a guy's view of shopping with a woman. Racks and racks of stuff that makes your head swim. It's like being in the desert for days and days without water. My lips are chapped, I can hardly breathe, my back aches and I can only half shuffle. It's like I'm in a deep swirly mist of colors and fabrics. Will this nightmare never end? I'm ready to get on my hands and knees to start begging or maybe crawling towards the exit. We make it out the door and I breathe the fresh air of freedom. Time for some manly BBQ.
OK, so I won't tell you that most of the stuff we bought was for me (from the Men's dept of course), but that's not the point... ;)

Day 193 - Peeking out
Miss Olivia peeking out.
I had to work a little photoshop magic on this one to brighten up her face and tone down the red and green plastics items in her play center thingie. This really brought out the image I was trying to capture.
And just because... here is another panoramic taken tonight. Six images from my Canon SD950 for this one. The center of the picture is east and the right side is somewhere near South. That is not the sun peeking through. Just a break in the clouds. I darkened the image to make it a bit more dramatic.

Day 192 Numbers
I've always loved numbers and that led me to my love of maths. The interesting things is that the more I learned, the more I realized that there was so much I didn't know. That's an interesting effect where perhaps by learning more I'm becoming less? Oh and the next time you think of Algebra... that comes from the Arabic term al-jabr roughly meaning adding the same thing to both sides of an equation. Math is truly a universal subject with many, many cultures contributing. I'm not sure that any one individual can learn it all. How can you even try to compete with thousands of years of geniuses? I am humbled to know the bit I do -- or a least in my own mind I think I understand. I've always been driven by the great questions: how does this work?, why does this work?, where does this come from? You get the idea -- or maybe not. Guess I'm just different.
For me, I get really focused ( not so often these days) when I study and work on a problem. I can get really intensely focused. That can really make people uncomfortable. For the few of you who have experienced that from me I apologize. Don't worry, I eventually simmer down and go away...

Day 190 Sunset Panoramic
Sunset tonight. I built this pano from four images. Again on my Canon SD950. I need to get some images on my D200 and try it out.
